Scott Philip Injerd's Obituary
Scott P. Injerd, age 75, passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, in Muskegon, Michigan. He was born to Philip and Marian (Wahlstrom) Injerd on Mother’s Day, May 14, 1950, in Evergreen Park, Illinois. Scott obtained his bachelor’s in architectural engineering from Purdue University and worked on various industrial projects throughout his career, his last working venture was serving FEMA, providing civil remediation for disasters, including Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Sandy among others. He enjoyed meeting people from different communities and working on the various projects. He married his wife, Rebecca Peets (Springstead) on September 8, 2001, and they were able to spend 24 wonderful years together. Scott was an ideal husband and father. He enjoyed cooking for the family, waking Becky with coffee each day, gathering with his children and grandchildren, always eager to help and reassure his loved ones. Scott enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, walking at the beach, swimming, snow skiing, traveling and many hikes with his dog Bruno at Lost Lake. Time spent with Jack, practicing soccer moves, playing hockey, and throwing baseballs were a highlight for him. Scott was a man with a servant’s heart, someone who made sure others were taken care of before himself and someone who loved spending time with his family above all else. He is survived in death by his wife: Rebecca Injerd; children: Kari (Scott) Spencer, Shelly Carnevale, Erik Injerd, Russel Peets, Elaina (Ryan) Stewart, Camryn Peets, Jack Injerd; grandchildren: Claire Carnevale, Olivia Carnevale, Ava Carnevale, Cooper Peets, Ari Stewart, Reese Stewart; brother: Daniel (Carol) Injerd.
