Mr. Scott Gerald Sorenson's Obituary
Mr. Scott Gerald Sorenson, age 45, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2015 in Grand Rapids. Scott was born January 11, 1970 to Gerald and Judy (Lynn) Sorenson in Muskegon. He was employed as a Service Manager at Cloverdale Equipment where he enjoyed his job and all those he worked with over the past dozen years. He had previously worked for the Oceana Road Commission and Wolverine. Scott loved fishing, hunting, NASCAR, two-tracking, and motorcycles. Most of all, and most importantly, he loved his boys and his grandson, Bentley. Scott is SURVIVED by his sons, Jacob (fiancée, Taylor Anderson), Benjamin, and Daniel Sorenson; grandson, Bentley Sorenson; his parents, Gerald and Judy; brother, Kevin (Julie) Sorenson; sisters, Lori (Tim) Hansen and Tammy Sorenson; nephews, Nate Sorenson, Adam Sorenson, Seth Hansen, Trent Hansen and Brennan John; nieces, Devan Elizabeth John, Kelsey Sorenson and Sydney John; longtime fiancée, Debbie Berndt Ropp; her children, Brooke and Tyler Ropp; and a very special cat, Good Kitty. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 2 PM Friday, June 19, 2015 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores 231-798-1100, with Pastor Randy Blanchette officiating. VISITATION will be Thursday evening from 6-8 PM and one hour prior to the service (1-2 pm) Friday. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to the Scott Sorenson Memorial Fund c/o Fith Third Bank. Burial will be made in the Holton Lutheran Cemetery.
