Selma E. Doornbos' Obituary
Mrs. Selma E. Doornbos, age 83, died Wednesday morning, September 21, 2005. She was born March 13, 1922 in Muskegon to Fred and Grace (Vanderlaan) Weesies, and had been a life resident. Mrs. Doornbos worked for Suburban Oil and Krautheim Jewelers for many years before her retirement. She was a member of Allen Avenue Christian Reformed Church. On January 21, 1949, she married Otto K. Doornbos in Muskegon, and he preceded her in death on January 14, 1979. SURVIVORS include 2 children, Mary (Edward) Hager of South Riding, VA, James F. Doornbos of Muskegon; 4 grandchildren, Annemarie (Jozsef) Varga, Rebecca (Aaron) Shackelford, Robert (Emily) Hager, Allison Hager; and 1 sister, Ruth Doctor of Muskegon. SERVICES will be 12 Noon Saturday at Allen Avenue Christian Reformed Church with Rev. Robert Bierenga officiating. Burial will be in Mona View Cemetery. VISITATION with the family will be from 6-8 PM Friday at
