Sena H. Bonnette's Obituary
Sena Hilda Bonnette, age 80, passed away peacefully Friday afternoon, May 27, 2022 at Christian Care Nursing Center. She was born on March 19, 1942 to Nicholas and Hendrika “Peggy” Havinga of Holland, MI. On August 10, 1962, Sena married Robert W. “Bob” Bonnette in Holland, MI and spent the next 53 years together until Bob’s passing on May 8, 2016. Sena and Bob have three children, Robert Glen (Gina) Bonnette, Timothy W. (Dona) Bonnette, and Nicole (Jeff) Hegedus. Sena attended Mercy Central School of Nursing and earned her LPN license. She worked for several years at Mercy Hospital in Muskegon, MI where she spent most of her career working with patients in the dialysis unit. Sena made many memories spending time with family at Chrystal Lake, Colorado Trails Ranch and some winter months in Florida. Her favorite place was sitting on her porch watching the horses and deer in her back yard. But mostly, Sena enjoyed spending time with her children and her grandchildren, Sam, Katie, Adeline, and Cameron. Sena will also be missed by her sister, Marilyn Padgett and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brother, Nick Havinga; and brother-in-law, John Padgett. A CELEBRATION OF SENA’S LIFE will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, June 18, 2022 at The Walburn Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., Muskegon, MI 49441 (231) 759-8565. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in Laketon Twp. Cemetery. MEMORIALS to the Alzheimer’s Association will be appreciated.
