It is with great sadness but extreme respect that I write to express my condolences. Although my dealings with Shane have been limited to mostly email conversations through work, after reading this obituary I have learned a whole lot more of the man that he was. As the father of 4 young children, 2 of which have ASD (Autism) diagnosis', I am incredibly touched to read how he had a special place in his heart for children with special needs and am very much appreciative that in this incredibly difficult time that donations are being made to the Special Olympics in his memory. I know I can speak for many when I say you will be truly missed but never forgotten. Another kind soul taken too soon.

Thank you Shane, for always being a constant kind and caring person. What an amazing friend, husband, son and father. May you live on through Gabby and her know how much you loved her. Thank you for loving my cousin the way that you did. 💙
