My sincerest condolences to your family during this time of Mrs. Bramer's passing. I am one of the many student's whom she taught during her years of at Orchard View Elementary. While I would have loved to have shared these words with her in person, I will share them with you now; she was without a doubt my favorite teacher and one of the single most influential teachers in all of my years in K-12 school (and college). I remember vividly her hugging me in the hallway outside of her second grade classroom, on the last day of school, as sobbed because I knew she would be retiring after that year. How could I continue going to school if she wasn't going to be there? She taught me what tough love was and that being a strict teacher only meant that she loved us just-that- much more and wanted the best for us. Her demeanor, her impact and unconditional love for is what carried me through many tough years of teaching preschool. She will be greatly missed and made a profound impact on many.
