Sharon Essenberg's Obituary
Sharon Essenberg, age 84, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at Seminole Shores Living Center. She was born October 25, 1935 in Grand Haven, MI to Louie and Fern (Hart) Seguin and lived in the area most of her life. In 1953, she married Robert Essenberg in Fruitport, MI and he preceded her in death in 2009. Sharon worked many years as a waitress and was a landlord. She enjoyed painting, singing, yardwork, flower gardening, dancing and singing at the Fruitport Pavilion. The joy of her life was her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Fruitport Congregational United Church of Christ. She was a board member of the Muskegon Heritage Association, the Miss Michigan and Miss Muskegon Pageants. Survivors include 2 children, Rob L. Essenberg of Norton Shores, MI, Darci L. Reinink of Roosevelt Park; 5 grandchildren, Alan (Patricia) Essenberg, Bradley and Jill Essenberg, Megan and Jordan (Alexis) Reinink; great-granddaughter, Addison Essenberg; 1 brother, Louie Seguin, Jr. of Rockford, MI, and Judy (David) Calhoun of Winterhaven, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Essenberg, her parents, Louie and Fern Seguin, her brother, Ralph E. Seguin, and a sister-in-law, Rozanne Seguin. A private graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, May 8, 2020 at Pine Hill Cemetery in Fruitport, to watch a live video feed, access the Sytsema Facebook Page at www.facebook.com/sytsemafuneralhomes.
