Sharon L. Irwin's Obituary
Sharon L. Irwin, age 73, of Watertown, Wisconsin, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at Marquardt Memorial Manor in Watertown. Sherry was born on March 20, 1949, in Muskegon, Michigan to John and Bernadine (Gauthier) Irwin.
Sherry moved to Jefferson, Wisconsin in the 90’s where she was an off-campus resident of St. Coletta for many years before moving to Fort Atkinson where she worked in the kitchen at the Fireside Dinner Theater. She loved riding with her favorite cab driver, Dan, on her many visits to Culver’s restaurant and knew all the staff there by name. She collected Disney ornaments, figurines and movies and was able to take a Disney cruise with other residents of St. Coletta’s which she enjoyed immensely. She loved Diet Pepsi and the staff from her group homes and the nursing home made sure she had it available so she could drink one every day.
She is survived by her siblings: Karen (John) Felix of North Muskegon, Robert (Diana) Irwin, Lois Epplett, Susan (Howard) Gilbert, and Janey (David) Paprocki of Ravenna; 19 nieces and nephews; 45 great nieces and nephews; 13 great-great nieces and nephews with two more on the way; her aunts: Gloria (Bruce) Wells of Watertown and Peggy Messer of Lake Mills, WI; and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: William and Gerald Irwin; brother-in-law, Timothy Epplett; nieces: Laura Beth Irwin-Gilbert and Kerri Jo Irwin-Welch and her nephew, Andrew Felix-Gilmore.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Sherry’s wonderful and amazing Care Manager, Rhonda Foley, who has been a blessing to Sherry and to our family for over eighteen years. We never worried about Sherry’s well-being with Rhonda looking out for her!
SERVICES will be held 3:00 PM on Saturday, May 6th, 2023, at the Ravenna United Methodist Church, 12348 Stafford Street, with Rev. David Selleck officiating. VISITATION will be at the church at 2pm. Burial will be in St. Catherine’s Cemetery.
