Sharon E. Kolbe's Obituary
Sharon Elaine Kolbe, age 76, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018. She was born March 23, 1942 in Traverse City, MI to Raymond and Audrey (Bowen) Gray. Sharon was a 1960 graduate of Muskegon High School. She worked for the Friend of the Court, County Prosecutors Office, and the Equalization Department for Muskegon County and had been a bank teller for Lumberman’s Bank. On July 29, 1961 she married Denny A. Kolbe in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on April 22, 2018. She attended Olivet Evangelical Free Church – Marquette Campus (formerly Orchard View Congregational). Sharon enjoyed being a homemaker, shopping, crocheting, reading, and watching sports on TV, especially the Detroit Tigers and Pistons. SURVIVORS include 3 sons: Mark (Lisa) Kolbe of Muskegon, Michael (Jane) Kolbe of Rockford, Matthew (Julie) Kolbe of Muskegon; 5 grandchildren: Kayla (Zack) Keck, Kyle, Collin, Stephen, and Lydia Kolbe; 1 great-grandson, Isaac Keck; 2 brothers: Bill (Sue) Fauble of Muskegon, Robert (Deneen) Fauble of Florida; 3 sisters: Gerri (Ron) Stowell of N. Muskegon, Nancy Fauble of Muskegon; Stella Mayo of Grand Rapids; many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Sandy Bouzis. SERVICES will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, October 6, 2018 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100, with Pastor Craig Cramblet officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place 11:30 AM Monday, October 8, 2018 at West Almira Cemetery, Benzie County, MI.
