Sharon L. McCormick's Obituary
Sharon L McCormick, age 86, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2025, in Muskegon
Michigan. She was born on July 1, 1938, to Roland and Evelyn Hafner in La Crosse Wisconsin.
Sharon married David McCormick on June 17, 1972, and spent 52 wonderful years together.
Sharon always remembered with fondness the good times she had with her siblings growing
up in LaCrosse. She looked forward to spending time with her granddaughters and nieces and
nephews as she was young at heart and enjoyed the company of the children in her life. She
loved her home in North Muskegon and spent many summers sailing Lake Michigan with David
and friends from the Muskegon Yacht Club. Sharon is survived by her husband David; stepdaughter Shannon Johnson (Rick Ellis), of St Simons Island GA, granddaughters Elizabeth Cummings and Laura Cummings both of Atlanta, GA; sisters Barbara McKnight and Jeanne Hafner and brother Thomas Hafner (Debra Hafner), all of LaCrosse Wisconsin; along with many nieces, nephews and their families. The family would like to give thanks to the staffs of Harbor Hospice Muskegon and Hillcrest Nursing Community North Muskegon for their compassion and skillful care during the time Sharon was in their care. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Harbor Hospice of Muskegon 1050 West Western Avenue Suite 400 Muskegon MI 49441. A celebration of life for family and friends will be scheduled at a later date.
