Mrs. Sharon L. Wilson's Obituary
Sharon Lynn Wilson was born on November 13, 1954 to the union of Will and Betty Watkins in Muskegon, Michigan. She attended Reeths-Puffer Schools and was a graduate of Muskegon High School. In November 1982, Sharon married Kenneth Wilson and shared a long-lasting marriage of 36 years. She was employed at Every Woman’s Place for many years and a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. Sharon loved to cook and entertain family and friends at her home but most of all, she was a dedicated homemaker caring for her husband and children.
Sharon departed this life on Saturday, January 12 with her family by her side at Heartwood Lodge in Fruitport, Michigan. She is preceded in death by her father, Will Watkins, brother, Leonard Watkins, and sisters, Linda Watkins, LaJoyce Charles, and Grace McGowan.
Sharon leaves to cherish her memory: husband Kenneth Wilson; 3 children, Gamaliel Watkins-Pollard of Muskegon, MI, Tammie Wilson of Las Vegas, NV, and Kendrick Wilson of Muskegon, MI; and six grandchildren; mother Betty Watkins; siblings Barbara (Michael) Jennings, Demetria Watkins-Pollard, Craig Watkins, Xavier Watkins, Corlis (Robert) Watkins-Nass, Eleika Watkins, and Danyell Watkins; sister in law Peggy (Leonard) Watkins; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Sharon’s life will be held Wednesday, January 16 at 2PM at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., www.sytsemafh.com. Pastor Ben Harris of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church will eulogize.
