Sheila Mae Beaver's Obituary
Sheila Mae Beaver, 58, of Whitmore Lake, MI, died peacefully at home during the night of February 18, 2018. She was born March 2, 1959 to William and Marjorie Beaver of Muskegon, MI. She graduated in 1977 from Mona Shores High School and went on to receive her Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Central Michigan University. Her employment included analyst and management positions in the technology field with North Pointe Insurance Group/QBE, Superior Controls, Silenus Group, Ralston Purina and Resource Plus. Her work experience encompassed analytical, developmental and implementation duties in various fields such as the automotive, furniture manufacturing and insurance industries.
Sheila was a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend with a generous soul and loving spirit. Her love and kindness were unconditional. If it had life, she loved it, whether it was a person, plant, animal, bird or insect, as she nurtured all living things. She highly treasured her family, friends and pets. When she did something, she always gave it her all. As a talented, smart, independent woman she was a great resource to friends and co-workers alike. She was happy to share her passion and knowledge of her many talents including cooking, sewing, knitting, gardening, home decorating, computer and analytical skills. She also loved to read and had a natural gift for creative writing, entertaining everyone with her wit, especially in her poems. She received great joy from giving and always took care to find the perfect, unique gift for each person. Listening was another one of her most cherished qualities. Conversation flowed easily with Sheila and you would always walk away with a smile on your face. She had a wonderful sense of humor - with a last name of Beaver she had to! She enjoyed a good joke, even when it was played on her. Her fun-loving spirit will be remembered with each beaver sighting.
Sheila is survived by her mother, Marjorie, brothers William, Michael (Susan) and John (Amanda), and nieces and nephews Karla, Shaun, Jack, Tom, Matthew, Emily, Tom, Hannah, Kaitlyn, Aaron and Ava. She was preceded in death by her father William; sister Bonnie and sister-in-law Karen.
A memorial celebration of Sheila’s life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Svcs, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444, 231-798-7619) with the Rev. Dan Anderson officiating. Visitation with Sheila’s family will be during the luncheon following the service.
