Sheila Maxine Huffman's Obituary
Sheila Maxine Huffman age 79, of Ravenna, Michigan died Sunday, July 19, 2015 at Christian Care Nursing Home in Muskegon surrounded by her loving family.
Sheila was born February 14, 1936 in Paradise Township, Michigan to the late Gerald J. and Varden (Aldridge) Akers. She married Versil Duane Huffman on June 20, 1953 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on November 19, 2007
Sheila is survived by: 1 Son: Bryan and Michelle Huffman of Ravenna. 2 Daughters: Jolynn and Leon Bekius and Julie and Michael Diendorf all of Ravenna. 6 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren. 2 sisters: Venita (Pete) Boody of Tennessee, Jeritza DeCheney of Hesperia and 1 Brother: Jerold (Donna) Akers of Fremont. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Sheila was preceded in death by her parents and husband Versil.
Mass from the Order of Christian Funerals will be celebrated on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at 10:00am at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church with Father Fred Brucker celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Catherine’s Catholic Cemetery.
The family will be present at the Throop Funeral Home of Ravenna on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00pm & 6:00 to 8:00pm to receive friends and again on Thursday at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church from 9:00am until the time of service. The Rosary will be prayed at 8:00pm on Wednesday.
