Sheila D. Kennedy's Obituary
Sheila D. Kennedy, age 69, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 17, 1955, to Chester and Merest (Taylor) Evans Sr., in Muskegon, MI where she has remained a lifelong resident. She graduated from Oakridge High School class of 1973. Sheila was employed by Community Mental Health where she worked as a peer support specialist. Sheila accepted Christ in her life at an early age. Sheila found joy in the simple pleasures life had to offer. She is survived by her four brothers, Chester (Doris) Evans Jr. of Muskegon, MI, Charles Evans, DeWayne Evans and Jermaine Evans all of Ohio; four sisters, Sharon Evans and Christine Evans of Muskegon, MI, Theresa Evans of Arizona, and Donna McBride of Texas; special friend, Lisa Jones; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Chester Evans Sr.; mother, Merest Evans; husband, Leon Kennedy; and three sisters, Jacquelyn Robinson, Shaun (Hanes) Hill and Linda Robinson-Moody.
