Shelby Jane Hardebeck's Obituary
Miss Shelby Jane Hardebeck, age 12, of Grand Haven passed away into the arms of her Heavenly Father on Sunday, February 26, 2012 after a very brief illness. She was born June 19, 1999 in Rochester Hills, MI, to Todd and Kristen (Parkhurst) Hardebeck.
Shelby was a sixth grade student at White Pines Middle School where she was also an honor student. She attended St. Patrick’s Catholic Church where she was a member of CREW. An accomplished swimmer, Shelby loved to swim and was a member of the USA Swim Association. She also enjoyed skiing, hunting, and fishing. Shelby loved her family very much and was always a giving and caring friend. She brought much joy to those around her and displayed remarkable dedication and loyalty to those who knew and loved her. She is truly “Our Angel.”
Shelby will be forever loved and missed by her parents, Todd and Kristen Hardebeck of Grand Haven; four brothers: Jack, Gabriel, Maverick, and Finley Hardebeck, all at home; her grandparents: M. Carol Parkhurst-Ondo of Painesville, OH, Tom (Janet) Parkhurst of Concord, OH, and Bill (Bonny) Hardebeck of Grand Haven; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The service for Shelby will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, March 2, 2012, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Grand Haven with Rev. Fr. William Langlois officiating. Friends may meet the family 5-8 PM Thursday, March 1, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Interment will be in Lake Forest Cemetery. Memorial contributions in honor of Shelby may be given to the Mulligan’s Hollow Immediate Needs Fund c/o the Grand Haven Area Community Foundation or to the S.L.S.C. (Shoreline Lightning Swim Club).
