Shelley Jane Stout's Obituary
Mrs. Shelley Jane Stout, age 64, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2016 at her home, surrounded by her loving family, following a courageous fight against cancer. She was born in Muskegon on April 10, 1952 to Howard and Amelia (Koziak) Larie. Shelley was employed at Howmet for the past 11 years and had previously worked 17 years at HyLift - Nelms Technologies. She was a member of the Muskegon Vikings, Polish Falcons and UAW Local 1243. Shelley was a talented artist and enjoyed sharing her gift with her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling to tropical destinations and always looked forward to road trips to the mouth of the Two Hearted River where she would spend hours looking for precious rocks. Shelley loved people, and people loved Shelley. On May 31, 2001, Shelley married Ronald T. Stout in Muskegon and he survives her along with six children, Paul (Barb) Schultz, Kelley (Deon) Barton, Olivia (Eric) Bowman, Matthew Stout, Christopher (Holly) Stout and Scott Stout; 11 grandchildren (and one on the way); brother, Greg Larie and her mother-in-law, Dorothy Stout. SERVICES will be 4:00 PM Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., 231-759-8565 with Rev. John Brown officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to her service. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. MEMORIALS in Shelley’s name may be directed to Hospice of Michigan or the Lemmen-Holton Cancer Center.
