She was born on June 3, 1938, to Wells Herrington and Bethany (Lawrence) Clark in Muskegon, MI where she was a lifelong resident. Sheri was a dedicated employee of Meijer where she worked as a jewelry clerk for 25 years before retiring in 1994. On October 19, 1957, she married the love of her life, Robert Millis. Together the couple cherished 63 years filled with endless love and laughter. Robert preceded her in death on July 31, 2020. She had a passion for needlework, whether it was knitting, crocheting or quilting. She had a love for all things nature, maintaining her bird feeders with delicious jelly, gardening and watching wildlife from her window at home. Sheri loved pressing her luck at BINGO or the casino. If she wasn’t already taking a trip to the casino alone, she would ask her family or friends to join in on the fun. She was an avid Tigers fan making sure her schedule allowed her to watch or listen to the game! Above all, she cherished every moment spent with her family, they brought the truest joy in her life. When she could, she loved rooting on her grandkids at their sporting events. Sheri had a sense of humor that could easily fill a room with laughter. She will be remembered for her generosity and willingness to put others first and help out whenever she could. Sheri never complained when someone needed a favor, whether it was a ride, bringing a pup for a wash or simply being a listening ear. Her tender-loving, kind and nurturing spirit will be missed by the many who knew and loved her. She is survived by her two daughters, Pamela (Raul) Santos and Paula (Scott) Tapanila; seven grandchildren, Jennifer (Scott) DuRose, Julianne Santos, Jesse (Maria) Santos, Joseph (Erica) Santos, Lindsey Smith, Brianne (Josh Westendorf) Tapanila and Courtney (Patrick) Gee; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; five siblings, Michael Olmstead, Patricia Folsom, Maribeth (Richard) Jeannot, Timothy (Gary) Behrendt and Teri (Grandville) Simpson; numerous nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
