Sherry Lynn Malenko's Obituary
Sherry L. Malenko went to be with the lord on Monday, January 6, 2025. She was born on March 8, 1949, to Robert and Gloria (Feckovics) Poulson in Flint, MI and later moved to the Muskegon area where she resided for the past 28 years.
Sherry earned her Bachelor of Nursing from Madonna University in 1982, where she graduated top of her class, and devoted her life to caring for others. She touched many lives during her time at Hurley Medical Center in Flint, Mercy Hospital of Muskegon and while she served as a nurse at the jail. She left a lasting impact on many.
Sherry was a devout Catholic, who loved the lord. She adored spending time with her children and grandchildren, whether it was swimming, boating or exploring the snowy trails cross-country skiing. These moments are treasures we will hold near and dear. Sherry was loved very much and will be greatly missed.
Sherry will be remembered by her children Darrin (Terri) Gargus, Aimee Gargus, and Boyce (Kelly) Gargus; grandchildren Nicholas Gargus, Brenna Ackerman, Alex Wall, Noelle (Charlie) Patton, Lauren Wall, Zachary Gargus, Leyton Gargus and Grace Gargus; and great-grandchildren Shay Patton and Aspen Rose Slatton. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters Gwen Poulson and Paula Poulson. Per Sherry’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
