Sherry Lynn Seifert-Hanis' Obituary
Mrs. Sherry Lynn Seifert-Hanis, age 65, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, October 21, 2023. She was born in Lansing, Michigan on July 12, 1958. Sherry had fond memories of her childhood growing up around Highland Park Dairy, which her family owned. She had a strong faith in the Lord and enjoyed sharing that with her family and friends. Sherry was a storyteller, she loved music, enjoyed singing, and attending concerts. She had a gift for interior design, enjoyed camping, antique shopping, traveling, especially to Ireland, and in her younger years was an avid snow and water skier. Sherry will be remembered fondly for her big heart, her kindness, generosity, and love for her family. On February 22, 2022, Sherry married Daniel Hanis in Muskegon and he survives her along with her six children whom she loved to the moon and back, Catie (Mike) Mieczkowski, Quinn Kelley, Chelsea (Paul Juarez) Kelley, Kyle (Jessica) Kelley, Brett (Branden) Addicott, Brenna (Zack Smith) Kelley; two step-daughters, Kara (Drew) Roesler and Holly (Devin Rodriguez) Hanis; seven grandchildren, Zaavan, Japheth, Malachi, Violet, Asher, Wilbur, Althea; four step-grandchildren, Avery, Lauren, Haven, and Iris; brother, Bruce (Deborah) Seifert; mother-in-law, Shirley (George) Butcher; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald “Red” and Mary (Steiner) Seifert; and her son, Patrick Colin Kelley.
