Shirley Jean Cribbs' Obituary
Shirley Jean Cribbs, age 86, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2022 at Chestnut Fields Living Center. She was born January 16, 1936 in Muskegon to Ray and Rose (Jandris) Erickson. On September 8, 1956, she married Russell G. Cribbs in Muskegon. She had worked as a bank teller at Lumberman's Bank in her earlier years. Prior to retirement, she worked as a realtor for over 20 years at Clyde Hendrick Realty. She was a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and had volunteered for Harbor Hospice. Shirley enjoyed camping, fishing and playing tennis with her husband. Survivors include 4 sons, Mark (Cheryl) Cribbs, Michael (Julie) Cribbs, Mitchell (Phyl) Cribbs, Matthew (Michelle) Cribbs; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Ron (Nellie) Erickson and Jack (MaryAnn) Erickson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Cribbs and her parents. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for both Shirley and Russell at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 19, 2022 in The Marian Chapel of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church (2929 McCracken St.) with Rev. Charles D. Hall presiding. Visitation will be held one hour prior at the church. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be directed to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church or the Harbor Hospice Foundation.
