Shirley Mae Crowe's Obituary
Shirley Mae Crowe, age 90, passed away in the early morning of November 13, 2023 at a local assisted living facility. She was born on January 19, 1933, to Adrian and Lucille (Boot) Wildrom in Grand Haven, MI. Shirley proudly served her country in the US Air Force for four years. On July 7, 1953, she married John J. Crowe in Grand Haven and they had 55 happy years together until his passing in December of 2008. Shirley will be greatly missed by her five children: Maureen (Michael) Scott, Martin (Kristi) Crowe, Kevin (Kimberly) Crowe, Kathleen (Joseph) Hamilton and Michael (Renee) Crowe; 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and a brother, Joel (Andrea) Wildrom. Shirley and Jack traveled extensively in retirement. Her favorite thing was spending time with her family, but she also enjoyed cooking, restoring old furniture, remodeling her home, needlework and painting. Besides her husband, Shirley was also preceded in death by her sister, Dolores Plough; and two brothers, Jerry A. Wildrom and Julian B. Wildrom. A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will take place at 11:00am, Friday, December 1, 2023, at St. Patrick - St. Anthony Catholic Church (920 Fulton St.) with Rev. Fr. Dan Schumaker presiding. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service in the St Patrick’s gathering space. MEMORIALS can be directed to Careline Hospice or the Parkinson’s Foundation (www.parkison.org).
