Mrs. Shirley Jean Green's Obituary
Mrs. Shirley Jean Green, age 86, passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, October 10, 2018. She was born on April 16, 1932 to Peter and Angeline (Bushman) Tierman in Muskegon. On July 11, 1953, Shirley married her sweetheart, Joseph “Joe” Green, and he preceded her in death on January 8, 2014. Shirley worked for Steele Middle School as Head Cook for several years. She was a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and volunteered her time at Mercy Hospital. She took several trips in the United States and around the world with her husband and family. Shirley’s true happiness in life was her family. She absolutely loved cooking family dinners and spending time with her grandchildren. Shirley will be missed by her children, Sherry Kozal, Cindy Schutter, Steve (Sue) Green, Mark (Angie) Green, Scott (Amy) Green and “other daughter” Bill and Karilyn Regeczi; 16 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Along with her husband of 60 years, Shirley was also preceded in death by her brother, William (Sally) Tierman, and parents. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, October 14 at 4PM at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 49444, 231-798-1100. Visitation with the family will be Saturday, October 13 from 6-8PM and one hour prior to the service from 3-4PM.
