Shirley J. Radecki's Obituary
Shirley Jean (Martin) Radecki, age 93, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2019 surrounded by family. We are sure that she was welcomed into heaven by her husband of 75 years, Eddie Radecki, and other family members, and it was a perfect reunion. Shirley was a wonderful mother, wife, grandmother, aunt, mother-in-law, friend, and she will be truly missed. She enjoyed playing cards, casino trips, spending time with her family, sewing, and taking care of her grandbabies. She was a wonderful cook and baker, and had a huge sweet tooth, enjoying anything sweet, especially chocolate. Shirley is survived by her children, Bobbie (Jerry) Plichta, Kathie (Randy) Taylor, Ed (Adelfia) Radecki, Dionne (Jeff) Oberlin; sister, Barb Gedmin; sister-in-law, Peggy Martin, Gladys Martin; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie; son, Terry, grandson, Terry Lee; granddaughter, Sarah; her parents; as well as many other family members. A Prayer Service for Shirley will be held at on Friday, August 16, 2019 at 5:30 PM at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St. Norton Shores, MI (231) 798-1100, with visitation to follow from 6:00 - 8:00 PM. Donations in Shirley’s name can be made to Robbinswood Assisted Living or Hospice of North Ottawa.
