Shirley Irene Rosema's Obituary
Norton Shores resident, Shirley Rosema, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2025, in Muskegon, MI. Shirley was born May 19, 1934, to John and Ethel (Johnson) Rosema. She was a graduate of Muskegon High School and a Certified Dental Assistant working in orthodontics for 37 years for Dr. Robert Rector. She served two terms as President of the Muskegon Dental Assistant Organization and was a former owner of Viola’s Gourmet Yogurt in South Haven. Shirley loved to entertain, decorate, cook, sew, paint, craft, golf and travel. She is survived by the “children of her heart”, Lora (Mike) Shepard, Gene (Tammy) Rosema, Christopher Rosema and Cory Rosema. Also, the “grand children of her heart”, Nikkole Cole, Andrew (Katie) Rosema, Miah Rosema, Michael Shepard, Erika (Quinntin) Stahl, Samuel Shepard and Ivy Rosema and a very special great granddaughter, Anastacia Doctor and many other great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters: Ethel Golf, Lillian Edsall and Jewell Parsons; brothers: John Rosema, Henry Rosema, Robert Rosema and Gene Rosema. Following Shirleys wishes, cremation has taken place and a private gathering will be held.
