Debbie Womack O Fs
Dear Shirley was one of the most generous, loving women I ever knew. She was a great blessing, not only to me but also to those she met and befriended throughout her many years in Steubenville. My memories of her are all fond and wonderful. She was a living testimony of "love your neighbor". I will forever cherish the time I was blessed to share with her, at summer conferences, prayer groups, Mass, lunch, dinner, phone calls, prayer, time spent with her and Fr Mike and Fr Gus and so many other lovely people. She was quick to introduce herself to newcomers and made everyone feel welcome and valued. She had a real gift for relating with the students and all who knew her loved her. Shirley carried herself with dignity and grace, all the fruit of her beautiful prayer life.
I know she is so happy to be in the realms of Heaven and with all her loved ones. May she rest in Eternal Peace. My deepest sympathies and prayers to her family. I treasure every moment I spent with her. And I will continue to pray for her and offer Masses for her soul. Thank you, Shirley, for being such a genuine friend.
