Mrs. Shirley J. Siewert's Obituary
Mrs. Shirley J. Siewert, age 91, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 10, 2017 at Mercy Hospital. She was born on November 16, 1925 to George and Florence (Olsen) in Muskegon. She met and married Edgar Siewert in Muskegon on October 6, 1947 and they spent 40 years together before he preceded her in death on October 13, 1987. Shirley worked as a nurse at Mercy Hospital before retiring in the early 80’s. She enjoyed cooking a large meal for her family and friends as well as going out to the casinos. Shirley will be missed by her children, Roger (Pat) Davis, Linda Siewert, Kathy Sugar, and Steven Siewert; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Ronald (Pat) Crane; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar; daughter, Sue Fierros; parents, George and Florence; and brother, George Crane. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, July 26 at 11AM at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S Harvey St. (231) 798-1100. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service from 10-11AM.
