Shirley R. Veldman's Obituary
Shirley R. Veldman, age 81, passed away at home on Sunday, July 10, 2016. She was born on December 19, 1934 to Oliver and Bertha (Schweissinger) Johnson in Muskegon. Shirley loved spending time with her family along with cooking, traveling, fishing, playing golf and tennis and going to lunch with her friends. On June 11, 1967 she married Donald J. Veldman and he survives her along with 3 children, Mary (Mike) Cuncannan, Patricia Morris and Julie (Pete) Johnson; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and sister, Lois Nye. Shirley was preceded in death by her brother, Doug Johnson and grandson, Ross Gradisher. Following Shirley’s wishes, cremation will take place and a private family gathering will be held.
