Shirley Anne "Ga" (Henry) Johnson's Obituary
Ms. Shirley Anne “Ga” Johnson, age 74, fell asleep in the arms of her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at her home. She was born October 18, 1936 in Queens, NY, to Walter and Florence (Johnson) Henry, Sr. and lived most of her life in the Muskegon area. She worked as a cashier for Lowe’s for 8 years and had also worked as a pricing administrator for Holland USA/Neway Anchorlock for 13 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the VFW #446 Woman’s Auxiliary. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting but the love of her life was her family, especially her grandchildren. SURVIVORS include 2 children, Victor (Cindy) Johnson of Plymouth, MN, Kimberly “Kim” (David) Brush of Muskegon; 6 grandchildren, Aaron, Maria and Katelyn Johnson “our Grammie”, Sara, Jacob and Jeremiah Brush; 1 brother, David (Pat) Henry, Sr. of Muskegon; 2 sisters-in-law, Kay Henry of Muskegon and Lucy Henry of Kalamazoo; special nieces and nephews and friends, Jean and Ron McGhan, Doris and Ron Cox, Glen Muehlhausen, Linda Adams and her West Shore Lutheran School family. She was preceded in death by her parents, and 3 brothers, William Henry III, Walter “Joe” Henry, Jr., John “Jack” Henry, and special friend, Sally Brush. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Monday, June 27, 2011 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Dennis L. Lassanske officiating. INTERMENT will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION will be held one hour prior to the funeral, 10-11 AM Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church or West Shore Lutheran School. “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love.
