Shirley M. "Ma KOB" Kuberski's Obituary
Mrs. Shirley M. "Ma KOB" Kuberski, age 82, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, January 27, 2008 in Muskegon. She was born on December 20, 1925 to Percy and Peggy (Grimm) Burch, and resided in the area all of her life. Mrs. Kuberski worked as a cook for many area restaurants, and was an avid sports fan. She was a member of the Bunker School Reunion Committee, an avid walker, volunteered for the Good Fellows, and part of the Commander?s Club for the Disabled American Veterans. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Kuberski in 1969; and son, Glenn Kuberski in 1978. SURVIVORS include 6 children, Phillip (Debbie) Kuberski, Jim Kuberski, Beverly Smith, Norm (Joyce) Kuberski, Becky Lorenz, and Peggy Boltz all of Muskegon; 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; and 3 brothers, Jack (Donna) Burch, Don (Sally) Burch, and Kenny (Gloria) Burch. Mrs. Kuberski was also preceded in death by her parents; and 2 sisters, Gerrie Anderson, and Beverly Freye. MEMORIAL SERVICES will be 11 AM Thursday at Lakeside United Methodist Church with Rev. Chuck VanLente officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service, from 10-11 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Hackley Cancer Center Special Projects or the DAV will be appreciated.
