Sigmond "Sig" R. Zielinski's Obituary
Sigmond “Sig” Raymond Zielinski, 58 of Muskegon, Michigan passed away unexpectedly on June 20, 2015. He is survived by his wife, Lori Zielinski; children, Britney (Joshua) May and Brent (Brianna) Zielinski; his siblings, June Demerci, Maria (George) Beagle, Patricia Zielinski, Ronace Hogan, Jeanie (Steve) Westhoff, Mark (Rae Ann) Zielinski, and Nedra (Matthew) Corrigan. Sig had a huge heart and general love for people and being around them. He left everyone he met, with a lasting impression and at least a few jokes. He loved his children with all his being, which was evident to all those around him. His contagious positivity led him to be a father-figure and mentor to many. His adventurous spirit led him on travels all around the world, but his favorite places to hike were in the dunes along Lake Michigan. He turned his love for the outdoors and passion for beautifying the earth into Wonderland Gardens landscaping business, which he founded in 1980. He started with his integrity, strong work ethic, a wheel barrel and a shovel. Over the last thirty five years his business grew, thrived, and expanded into a Christmas tree farm. Pieces of his creativity, love for land, and embellishing the earth are spread all over West Michigan. This loss is great and will leave a hole in the hearts of many. FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, June 25, 2015 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100. VISITATION with the family will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Fruitport Cemetery.
