Silvestre Arispe's Obituary
Silvestre Arispe, age 68, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Trinity Hospital in Muskegon. He was born June 26, 1957, in Zeeland, MI to Juan and Celia (Badillo) Arispe.
Silvestre served his country in the Army. He worked at Windmill Lakes Apartments in maintenance. Silvestre was a hard worker and very handy. He loved watching movies, both scary and war movies, and the news. In his younger days, he played guitar with his friends. Most important to him was his family and he loved his grandchildren.
Silvestre is lovingly remembered by his three daughters: Sophia Arispe, Monica (Marcos) Ayala, and Selena Goodin; six grandchildren: Laura, Lilly, Saveyva, Michael, Victoria, and Manny; two sisters, Esther Arispe and Nora Favela; two brothers, Abel (Chris) Arispe, and Gabriel (Esperanza) Arispe; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Margie Boven, two brothers, Juan Arispe, Jr. and Joe Arispe, and cousin, Ed Silva.
The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 26, 2026, at The VanZantwick Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 620 Washington Ave., Grand Haven, MI 49417. Military honors will be accorded by the Charles A. Conklin American Legion Post # 28 Honor Guard. Friends may meet the family an hour prior to the funeral. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Holland, MI. Arrangements entrusted to The VanZantwick Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 620 Washington Ave., Grand Haven, MI 49417.
