Mr. "Smiley" Lloyd Schumaker's Obituary
Lloyd “Smiley” Schumaker, age 72, passed away at home in the arms of his loving wife Saturday evening, November 3, 2012. He was born December 18, 1939 in Muskegon. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the 1950’s. Smiley was employed by Sealed Power for 35 years prior to his retirement in 2000. He loved his antique cars, cruising to Mr. Quick’s, and watching the old westerns. Smiley was loved by many and will be forever missed. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, the former Delores Scouten; 4 sons, Thomas (Fay)Schumaker, Robert (Dena) Schumaker, Boyd Schumaker, and Steve Benet; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; a sister, Donna (Chester) Doom; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald (Helen Sochowski) Schumacher; and his brother, Donald “Skip” Schumacher. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at The Lee Chapel 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100
With Pastor Gerald Hagans officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service ( 12 noon -1PM) at the funeral home. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to a charity of your choice to help the needy.
