Sophia Vallier's Obituary
Mrs. Sophia Vallier, age 94, passed away Sunday morning, July 6, 2008, at the Poppen Residence. Sophia was born July 1, 1914 to John and Anna (Setlock) Bray in Vulcan, MI. On February 21, 1933 she married Edmund F. Vallier in Weare Township. Edmund preceded her in death on January 27, 1996. Sophia was a long time member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church as well as the Knights of Columbus and the Elks Lodge. Her life was all about spending time with, and loving her family. Sophia is survived by her 4 children, Janet Scott of Muskegon, Judy (Don) Hegedus of North Muskegon, Margie German of Norton Shores, and Dan Vallier of Muskegon; 20 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Stella (Willard) Tate, Louise Miller, Eleanor Pavlic and Irene Coller; sisters-in-law, Leone Vallier and Rose Marie (Harry) Mikesell; brothers-in-law, Jack Price, Bob Vallier and Paul (Joann) Vallier; and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her 2 sons, Frank and Louis; 4 brothers, George, Walter, Sigman, and Edward Bray; and 3 sisters, Julia Glotzbach, Bernice VanDyk, and Pat Unger. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be 11AM Thursday, July 10, 2008 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Marian Chapel (2929 McCracken Ave.). VISITATION will be 5-9 PM Wednesday at
