Srean Joseph Yager's Obituary
Mr. Srean Joseph Yager, age 97, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025 at his home in Muskegon, Michigan. He was born in Muskegon on November 9, 1927 to Emanuel and Mary (Martin) Yager. On September 1, 1951, Srean married the former Donna Pearo. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in WWII. Srean was employed by Anaconda Wire and Cable for 30 years prior to his retirement in 1980. He was a member of Don Rea VFW Post #8846 and the Muskegon Vikings for over 50 years. Srean enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, playing cribbage, his 5PM cocktail, and most importantly, spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Donna; four children, Pamela (Alan) Lacefield, Gary (Sandra) Yager, Mary Larsen, and Nancy Yager; daughter-in-law, Julianne Yager; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and half-siblings, Judy, Emma, Rosetta, Marcella, and Mennen. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Yager; sons-in-law, Paul Larsen and Eric Martinez; grandsons, Michael J. Yager and Max Chrystler; parents, Mary Yager and Emanuel (Evelyn) Yager; sister, Edith D’Angelo; half-brothers, Harvey, Loren, and Chap; and special aunt and uncle, Rose and Joe Wirtz. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a PRIVATE FAMILY GRAVESIDE SERVICE will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
