Stanley "Butch" Charron Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Stanley M. “Butch” Charron, Jr., age 72, passed away Monday evening, July 23, 2018, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 15, 1946 to Stanley and Beatrice (Morton) Charron in Memphis, TN, and lived most of his life in the Muskegon area. Butch was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam Era. He worked as a boiler repairman and substation builder for Consumers Power, retiring after 31 years there. He then hauled travel trailers around the country for Integrity for 10 years. He loved camping, traveling, and most of all, spending time with his family. On June 10, 1967 he married Kathleen M. “Kathy” Plunkett, and she survives him along with 2 children: David (Sheri) Charron and Julie (Jack) DeLong; 2 grandchildren: Chelsey DeLong and Ashley (Thomas) DeRooy; several special step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; his siblings: Pat (Bill) Collins, Glenna Huss, Marijo (Mike) Settlemire, Tim “Joe” (Sharon) Charron; and many other special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson: Kyle DeLong; and brother-in-law: Pete Huss. A service to celebrate and remember Butch’s life will be held Friday, July 27, 2018, at 11:00 AM at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100, with visitation 1 hour prior to the service.
