Stanley R. "Stan" Goodwin's Obituary
Stanley R. “Stan” Goodwin, age 80, passed away at home on Friday, December 20, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 18, 1944, to Robert and Dorothy (Bell) Goodwin in Johnston County, IN, eventually making his way to Michigan in 1972. On May 18, 1974, he married the love of his life, Janet Anderson in Muskegon, MI. Together they cherished 50 years full of love and laughter. Stan was a dedicated employee of Stanco Metal Products in Grand Haven where he worked as a computerized press operator and hi-lo driver for 20 years before retiring. He was an avid fisherman, loved music and had a knack for playing the guitar. Stan was a dedicated teammate for 19 years in the same bowling league. He had a true passion for NASCAR and all things racing. Above all, he cherished the moments spent with his wife, Janet and all of their getaways up North. Stan will be genuinely missed by the many who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife, Janet Goodwin; daughter in love, Angie (James) Hall McClain; four grandchildren, Hunter, Jessie, Rhiannon and Jayce’lynn; numerous nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
