Stanley D. "Stan" Hard's Obituary
Stanley Dean “Stan” Hard of Ravenna, age 71, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025. He was born September 23, 1954, in Grand Rapids, MI, to Loren and Peggy (Gillespy) Hard. Stan was a 1974 graduate of Coopersville High School. On August 17, 1974, he was united in marriage with Alicia E. Hittle at Sullivan Community Church and celebrated 51 wonderful years together. He was employed for over 38 years as a security guard at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Rapids. SURVIVORS include his wife, Alicia Hard of Ravenna; brother, Larry (Lori) Hard of Coopersville; twin brother, Steve (Paula) Hard of Ravenna; sisters-in-law, Joyce Bignell of New Era and Elaine Clark of Coopersville; brother-in-law, Charlie (Laurie) Hittle of Ravenna; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers-in-law, Demoin Bignell and Robert Clark. A MEMORIAL SERVICE for Stan will be held 2:00 PM Friday, December 26, 2025, at Sullivan Community Church (3951 Barnes Rd., Ravenna, MI 49451) with Pastor John Romanosky officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. MEMORIALS to Sullivan Community Church or the Harbor Hospice Foundation will be appreciated.
