Stanley "Stan" Roger Warner's Obituary
Stanley “Stan” Warner, age 62, of Spring Lake, MI passed away Friday, April 26, 2013, at Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. He was born January 11, 1951, in Charlevoix, MI to Harley Charles and Marjorie Jean (Smith) Warner. He married the former Susan Diane Rowsey on November 2, 1984.
Stan had been a Spring Lake resident for the last 20 years and was a medical technologist at North Ottawa Community Hospital. He earned his Bachelor’s degree at Michigan State University and his Master’s degree at the University of South Florida. Stan loved deer hunting and fishing. He was an avid MSU fan and loved all sports. He also enjoyed working on cars and anything else that was broken to make it “fixed like new”.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Susan Warner; two daughters, Christine Warner of Grand Rapids and Kimberly (fiancé Aaron Stinson) Warner of Spring Lake; his mother, Marjorie Warner of Charlevoix; father- and mother-in-law, John and Janice Rowsey of Ashland, Ohio; a nephew, Nicholas Warner of Grand Rapids; and his brother, Bob Warner of Myrtle Beach, SC. He was preceded in death by his father, Harley Warner; a sister, Dawn LaJoie; and a brother, Paxton Warner.
The service for Stan will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 3, 2013, at Spring Lake Wesleyan Church with Rev. Peter Yoshonis officiating. Friends may meet the family 4-7 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2013, at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Spring Lake. Interment will be in the Barnard Cemetery in Charlevoix, MI.
