Stanley Otis Burley's Obituary
Mr. Stanley “Stan” Otis Burley, age 77, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at his home. He was born September 14, 1932 in Muskegon to Otis and Blanche (Stitt) Burley and lived in the Muskegon area most of his life. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during the Korean War. He was the owner of his own contracting company which he operated for over 50 years. Stan was a member of The Lakes Community Church of the Nazarene – Eastwood Campus. He was also a member of the White Lake Eagle’s and Lincoln Golf Club. SURVIVORS include 3 children, Dawn (Alan) Korstanje, Donald (Heather) Underwood, Robert (Wilma) Underwood; former daughter-in-law, Deanna Brown; several grandchildren; 7 siblings, Marlene Hudson, Steven (Judy) Burley, David Burley, Joy (Al) Owens, Nathan (Alberta) Burley, Sarah Parsons, Cyntha (Gary) Hunter. He was preceded in death by 1 son, Flint D. Burley, his parents, Otis and Blanche Burley, and 4 siblings, Irene Perysian, Anita Lyons, Alice Houghton, and Arthur Burley. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 19, 2009 at The Lakes Community Church of the Nazarene – Eastwood Campus (2270 S. Milliron Rd.) with Rev. Dr. Thomas A. Parks officiating. INTERMENT will take place in the spring of 2010 at Holton Township Cemetery with Military Honors offered by the Holton American Legion Honor Guard. VISITATION with Stan’s family will be one hour prior to the service, 10-11 AM Saturday at the church. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be directed to the Stanley Burley family.
