Stella Lampe's Obituary
Stella Lampe, age 85, of Grand Haven passed away Sunday, January 1, 2006, at her home. She was born September 22, 1920 to Anthony and Kathryn (Gatlik) Boczkaja in Muskegon; and married Ferdinand “Fred” Lampe on September 28, 1940 in Muskegon, he preceded her in death June 20, 2003.
Stella had been employed at Grand Haven Brass and was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church where she had been active with the funeral lunch committee and the financial committee, member of and former trustee for the Slovenian Farmers Club, enjoyed knitting and her family.
Survivors include her 2 daughters; Kathy M. (Jim) Lear of Saginaw, Nanci L. (Monte) Czuhai of Grand Rapids, 2 grandchildren; Jim Lear of New York and Jef Lear of Chicago and her sister, Josephine LeVandowski of Hesperia. Her son Tom in 1972, sister Olga LaPacjzyk and brother Walter “Butch” Boczkja preceded her in death.
The funeral liturgy will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Rev. William Langlois as celebrant. Friends may meet the family 3-7 p.m. Friday at VanZantwick, Bartels, Kammeraad funeral home in Grand Haven. Memorials to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church or the charity of your choice are appreciated.
