Stella Rita Poniatowski's Obituary
Stella Rita Poniatowski, age 62, passed away unexpectedly, Monday, March 13, 2023. She was born December 13, 1960 in Gaylord, MI to John and Rita (Halloran) Czekuc. Stella was a 1980 graduate of Muskegon Catholic Central High School and was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. On September 30, 1986, she married Paul E. Poniatowski in Marquette, MI. Stella had a heart of gold. If you knew Stella and she knew you, you were a part of her family. She will be missed by many. Stella is survived by her husband, Paul; two children: James Poniatowski and Lacey (Justin) Flanagan; two step-children: Paul Poniatowski Jr. and Autumn Poniatowski; 13 grandchildren; sister, Fran (Mike) Cooper; sisters-in-law: Harriet Czekuc, Marva Newville, and Julie Poniatowski; brothers-in-law: Vince and John Poniatowski, and Dennis Devine; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, John “Tony” Czekuc; and brother-in-law, Jim Newville. THE FUNERAL MASS will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Charles D. Hall presiding. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery. MEMORIALS to the Noah Project will be appreciated.
