Stella Mae Thompson's Obituary
Mrs. Stella Mae Thompson, age 84, passed away Friday morning, November 20, 2009 in Muskegon. She was born August 6, 1925 to Robert and Eva (Turner) Upshaw in Cerdo, Kentucky, and moved to the Muskegon area in 1941. Mrs. Thompson was a long time member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, and served with the Altar Guild. She also enjoyed reading. On August 9, 1941 she married Everett Thompson, and he preceded her in death on December 27, 2005. SURVIVORS include 2 daughters, Jane Robidoux of Muskegon, Beverly (Richard) Vandervest of Whitehall; 5 grandchildren, Robin (Nick) Obrenovich, Michael (Lara) Robidoux, Carolanne Potter, Becky Bolles, Brenda ElMoudni; 7 great grandchildren; 2 nephews, and 1 niece. She was also preceded in death by 1 grandchild, 1 brother, and 1 sister. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at The Sytsema Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. (231) 726-5210 with Rev. Brian Kyle officiating. Burial will take place at Restlawn Cemetery. VISITATION at the funeral home will be from 6-8 PM Monday evening.
