Stella R. Szmadzinski's Obituary
Stella R. Szmadzinski, age 83, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2008. Mrs. Szmadzinski was born July 7, 1924 to Anthony and Frances (Kielar) Czekuc in Muskegon. She married Joseph J. Szmadzinski who preceded her in death in 1990. She was employed at both The Muskegon Chronicle and K-Mart prior to her retirement. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and prior to that, St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. Stella was an active member of the Orchard View Seniors where she participated in singing and dancing. She is SURVIVED by 5 sons, Joseph R. (Pamela) of Northville, MI, John A. of Muskegon, James E. (Christina) of Taiwan, Jerome W. (Polly) of Muskegon and Jacob S. (Cathy Rinzema) of Rockford, MI; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Ed Szmadzinski; and sister-in-law, Rita Czekuc. She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Stella Patricia and 2 brothers, John and Leo Czekuc. A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be 10:00 AM Saturday, June 21 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Michael P. Olson presiding. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. VISITATION will be 5-8 PM Friday at
