Stephanie Ann O'Hara's Obituary
Stepanie Ann O’Hara, age 63, passed away Friday, April 25, 2025 at Trinity Health – Muskegon Hospital. She was born December 4, 1961 in Plainwell, MI to Stanley and Eleanor (Hart) Wiewiora. Stephanie earned her Associates Degree in Nursing and had worked 15 years at North Ottawa Community Hospital and 15 years at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans where she retired in 2019. On August 28, 1982, she married Michael O’Hara in Westland, MI. Stephanie was a member of St. Patrick-St. Anthony Catholic Community. Survivors include her loving husband, Michael O’Hara; 4 children, Michael (Racheal) Wiewiora, Rachel (Matthew) Bouwkamp, Tommy (Sierra Boyd) O’Hara, Brendon (Kelli) O’Hara; 4 grandchildren, Aidan, Jayson, Jameson and Lachlan, 3 brothers, Chris Wiewiora, John (Shelly) Wiewiora, Tom (Elizabeth) Wiewiora; 2 sisters, Sue (Mike) Sloumski, Mary Tompkins; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stan and Ellie Wiewiora. Stephanie cherished her family most of all. She had the kindest heart and rarely spoke an unkind word. She found joy in cooking for her family, baking cookies and wedding cakes, and looked forward to each visit with her precious grandchildren, who loved her most of all. She loved animals, especially cats. She found joy being outside, planning her flower gardens and enjoying the sun. Her wisdom, compassion and presence were unmatched. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:30 AM Thursday, May 1, 2025 at St. Patrick Church of St. Patrick-Anthony Parish, 920 Fulton Street, Grand Haven, MI 49417, with Rev. Fr. Dan Schumaker presiding. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at The VanZantwick Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 620 Washington Avenue, Grand Haven, MI 49417, where the Rosary will be prayed at 6:15 PM Wednesday evening. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the Mass on Thursday at the church. Interment will take place at Historic Cemetery, Grand Haven, MI.
