Stephen Anthony "Steve" Adams' Obituary
Stephen Anthony “Steve” Adams, age 74, passed away on July 3, 2024, in Holland, MI. He was born November 10, 1949, to Harold and Edna (Dalton) Adams in Portsmouth, Ky. His family moved to Logan, OH when he was a child and he graduated from Zanesville High School in 1968. He then went on to Ohio State University, where he graduated with a degree in Economics. On December 9, 1989, he married LaVonne Williams. Steve spent over 30 years as a kitchen and bath designer, retiring in 2016.
Steve enjoyed visiting Hocking Hills State Park, reading a good book, tinkering with computers, using shortwave radios and learning more about history. He was a gun collector and participated in gun shows for many years. He also enjoyed attending Life Church and helping with the toddlers and infants, and quickly became known as “Papa Steve”.
Steve will be dearly missed by his wife, LaVonne; children, Aaron Adams, Adam Adams, and Kimberly (Christopher) Huls; and sister, Lynn (Bob) Swaney. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Clifford Adams.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be 2 PM on Monday, July 15, 2024, at The VanZantwick Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services (620 Washington Ave., Grand Haven, MI 49417), with VISITATION will the family 1 hour prior to the service. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be directed to Gateway Mission in Holland, MI.
