Mr. Stephen C. Fortin's Obituary
Mr. Stephen C. Fortin, age 60, loving father, son and brother, went to be with his Lord unexpectedly Saturday, April 12, 2014 in Plainwell, MI. He was born in Muskegon, MI on September 10, 1953 to Kenneth R. and Eleanor B. (Myers) Fortin. Steve attended Grand Valley State University prior to his 33 year career with the United States Post Office – Grand Rapids before retiring in 2013. He enjoyed learning, was an avid reader, loved traveling and was passionate about his Lord. Steve loved his faith, his family and his God. He is survived by his two daughters, Amy (Matthew) Pew of Redmond and Brandy Fortin of Grand Rapids; three grandchildren, Cora, Seven and Juniper (and #4 on the way); his mother, Eleanor Fortin and two brothers, Ronald Fortin and David Fortin. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth and his sister, Sandra Fortin. SERVICES will be 2:00 PM Friday, April 18, 2014 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100 with Pastor Don Pew officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Mona View Cemetery.
