Mr. Stephen M. Ring's Obituary
Mr. Stephen M. Ring, 70, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2020, in Muskegon. He was born January 7, 1950 to Chester and R. Elaine (Hubbard) Ring in Marion, Indiana. Steve was a U.S. Army veteran, who also served several years in the Army National Guard following active duty. Steve was also the parts and service manager at Shelby Ford. Steve and Norma were members of the former First Christian Reformed Church, and are presently members of New Era Reformed Church. Steve enjoyed golfing and bowling before developing Parkinson’s Disease. On May 19, 1973 he married Norma G. Hackney, and she survives him along with 3 brothers and 1 sister: James (Sandy) Ring, Marcia (Rick) Smith, Wayne (Deb) Ring, Rodney (Carole) Ring; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents,
Chester and Elaine Ring, sister-in-law, Cheryl (Hackney) Ring and a niece, Jamie Stevens. The funeral Service will be Thursday, February 20, at 2:30 PM at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 19,from
5:00-8:00 PM, also at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Mr. Ring may be made to Muskegon Christian School, Western Michigan Christian High School/Middle School, or the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation).
