Pastor Steve was a faithful and upright man of God. I have great respect for him and his family.

May God comfort and strengthen each of you in your time of sorrow, knowing that He is with you as He has promised. When we were looking for a church, we made a list of various churches that we might visit. After visiting Sheridan Drive Baptist Church, we knew we had found 'home' and did not even visit any other church.
Pastor Rumley shared his love for his church family. He wanted everyone to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. He gave the salvation message often and encouraged his flock to grow in their faith. He encouraged us to use our talents to help others and to be an encouragement to others. He instilled in us the desire to learn more about Him and to get involved in sharing the gospel.
Pastor was a strong leader for his family as well as his church family. All of his children are Christians and actively use their talents for Christ. It is obvious that he is loved and respected by his family.
We continue to pray for Nancy, and for his children and their families. Our condolences to all. God is good - all the time!
