Stephen A. Stark's Obituary
Stephen Allen Stark, age 70, passed away in Muskegon, MI, on Sunday, March 9, 2025. Steve was born in Muskegon on September 16, 1954, to Raymond and Doris (Langlois) Stark. He graduated from Muskegon Catholic Central High School and went on to work at Howmet Aerospace for 40 years before retiring in 2013. On May 20, 1989, he married the former Theresa McIntosh, and the two of them spent 35 wonderful years building a family together.
Steve was a dedicated husband and father, and he worked very hard over the years to provide for them. He was very proud of his family and showed up to everything for them, and one of his greatest joys was becoming a grandfather. He was a longtime member of the UAW Local 1243. He was very extraverted and known by many, and he had a knack for storytelling. He loved Detroit Lions Football, camping, and his dogs, but more than anything he loved spending time with his family.
Steve will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Theresa Stark; three children: Jack (Jasmine) Stark, Erica (Nathan) Demerly, and Adam (Hannah) Stark; four grandchildren: Rosalyn, Myles, Scarlett, Natalie, and one more on the way; four siblings: Linda (John) Bader, Raymond (Joan) Stark, Paul (Pat) Stark, and Brad (Sandy) Stark; siblings in-law: Linda Stark, Nancy Stevens, Mary (Paul) Schwing, and Tom (JoAnna) McIntosh; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Doris Stark; brother, Charlie Stark; parents in-law: Jack and Carolene McIntosh; and two nephews, Ed Bader and Doug Stark.
A MEMORIAL MASS will be taking place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 15,2025, at St. James Catholic Church, 5149 Dowling St, Montague, MI 49437. The ROSARY will be prayed at 5:00 PM on Friday, March 14, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI, 49444, with a MEMORIAL VISITATION to follow from 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM.
