Stephen Marshall Caughey's Obituary
Mr. Stephen Marshall Caughey, age 69, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2010 in Auburndale, FL. He was born March 25, 1941 in Evanston, IL to Robert and Gladys (Petrie) Caughey and lived in the Muskegon area most of his life. He worked 33 years for MichCon Gas Company and retired in 1998. Following retirement, he moved to Auburndale, FL, where he has resided since. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. On June 6, 1964, he married the former Carole Tambling in Montague and she survives him. He was a former member of St. Mary the Immaculate Catholic Church. He refereed softball, baseball and football games for over 30 years. SURVIVORS include his wife, Carole Caughey of Auburndale; 2 sons, Robert Caughey of NC, and Paul Caughey of NC; 1 granddaughter, Olivia Caughey. He was also preceded in death by 1 brother, David Caughey in 2004. GRAVESIDE SERVICES will be held 11:30 AM Saturday, June 12, 2010 at St. Mary’s Cemetery with the Rev. Matthew J. Barnum presiding.
